September 30, 2007 – 1:15 pm

Woman: “I want to go to the Mission District.”
Man: “Fine, if you want to get shot. I don’t want to get shot.”
Woman: “You’re being stupid.”
Man: “Maybe, but — at the end of the day — I’ll be the one who didn’t get shot.”

An actual conversation I had with a dog while sitting in the park a few minutes ago:

September 29, 2007 – 1:10 pm

Dog: (approaches)
Me: (making no move to pet it) “Hi.”
Dog: (standing)
Me: “How are you?”
Dog: (pees on the tree I’m leaning against)
Me: (trying not to get splashed) “Oh.”
Dog: (runs away)
Me: (waving) “Thank you.”
